CHâTILLON COQUE SCHOLARSHIP

Offered to an English Literature student wanting to do a PhD

The guardians of the works of  Châtillon Coque wish to recognise the international stature of the poet’s work and ensure that his contribution to contemporary English literature is appreciated and recorded. They therefore invite applications for a doctoral scholarship on the works of Châtillon Coque

 

Applicants shall:

  • Hold a Master’s Degree in English Literature or cognate area of study

  • Have an appreciation of classical music and drama

  • Have some knowledge of the works of Carl Gustav Jung

  • Be available to register full-time for a PhD at an accredited South African or international university

  • Be able to attend to having the thesis topic approved by the university in question.

 

Applicants are required to submit:

  • Full academic record to date

  • Curriculum vitae

  • An expression of interest in the work of Châtillon Coque and a preliminary conceptualisation of the proposed research

  • Academic references from supervisor and senior academic familiar with your work

 

Terms of the Scholarship 

The scholarship can be supported financially for a maximum of two years and any stipend will be agreed depending on the geographical location of the applicant and the supporting university.
